DRAFT Minutes of meeting of Redevelopment Committee held on 22 January, 2026 at 7 PM. Attendance: Mahesh Vyas (Chairman), Sunil Singh, Sunil Tyagi, Sanjay Kher, Ajit Rai and Ashish Raikar. Pammu was invited and he joined as guest.
1. Minutes of the meeting held on 13 January, 2026 were discussed and then approved. (Appendix A).
2. All members of the RdC attended in person and there was no need to give Leave of Absence to anyone.
3. The meeting was convened at short notice to discuss the MC’s decision to dissolve the RMT and the agenda of the SGM convened by the MC on 25 January, 2026.
4. The MC’s decision to dissolve the Redevelopment Management Team (RMT).
The RMT was recommended by the RdC and the recommendation was approved by the RdC in September 2025. Three members of the RdC were members of the 6-member RdC. The other three members were office bearers of the MC.
According to the RdC Minutes of the meeting held on 20 September 2025, it was proposed that the RMT would “have an initial term till the developer is selected, the DA is signed and the members have vacated their flats.”
Pammu explained that the MC felt that since much of the work in selecting the developer was over it was OK to dissolve the RMT now. If and when the need arises a new RMT can always be formed again.
The RdC accepted the decision of the MC to dissolve the RMT.
5. Discussion on Development Agreement (DA) and the lawyer
It was noted that the DA has been delayed inordinately compared to our expectation and the timeline given to the General Body in the last SGM. The RdC discussed the progress and challenges in completing the DA. It was resolved that the law firm, Pradhan & Rao, must be changed. The RdC’s decision to the effect made in its meeting on 13 January was thus ratified by the full RdC meeting.
Pammu informed the RdC that he, along with the MC, has made progress in finding an alternate set of law firms that the SGM can consider to select one for the timely completion of the DA. He also informed that in the shortlisting of new set of lawyers he has been mindful of the need to ensure speed and coordination with the PMC and members, besides professional proficiency. The RdC welcomed this initiative.
6. Appointment of consultant for direct and indirect taxes.
Pammu briefed about three firms of Advocates and Solicitors who are highly reputed in the field of Indirect Taxes. These are:
· Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (a.k.a. LKS)
· Trilegal and,
· UBR Legal Advocates (Advocate Bharat Raichandani)
The quotation received from LKS was for Rs 5 lakh plus taxes. He had already reached out to Trilegal who were yet to quote for it. He was yet to reach out to UBR. He said he will try and do that asap. He was happy with going with LKS, who may be the most expensive of all three.
RDC left the call to Pammu and Sunil to decide and recommend to GB.
