The Redevelopment rules under Sec 79 A of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act has prescribed procedures for the redevelopment of buildings in Maharashtra.

One of them is:

“To obtain written consent letters from the members agreeing for proceeding with redevelopment. After decision as to redevelopment of the society is passed by a majority of not less than 51% of the total members, it would be necessary to obtain written consent letters of the members who exercise their vote in favour of the resolution for redevelopment in order to enable the Managing Committee to proceed with redevelopment”.

It may be recalled that in the SGM of February 18, 2024, 58 members gave their in-principle approval to the Redevelopment of Patrakar Co-operative Housing Society.

We have made much progress since then and the redevelopment of our society is now a clear well developed plan.

The consent letter would be circulated soon to members for their signatures.
