The Special General Body Meeting held on 5 October 2025 was convened following a requisition from members and covered eight resolutions concerning the redevelopment process.

A new framework governing the relationship between the Redevelopment Committee (RDC) and the Managing Committee (MC) was approved. The revised rules clarify that the RDC functions as an independent advisory body of the General Body, while the MC remains responsible for execution and signing of documents.

The meeting also made video recording of redevelopment meetings mandatory, strengthening transparency and record keeping.

Members approved the development of a dedicated website where redevelopment-related information and updates will be made available. The PMC is also expected to provide construction-progress updates through its website.

Another important decision was to allow members living outside Mumbai to participate in meetings remotely. Voting through remote participation remains subject to the necessary registrar approval. Members had already participated through Zoom during developer presentations.

The General Body also authorised the RDC to assist the MC in the UCO Bank litigation, with relevant documents to be shared with the RDC.

Finally, the existing law firm was removed through a show-of-hands vote. Of the 44 members present, 30 voted in favour of removal, 6 against and 8 abstained. The process of appointing a new lawyer was therefore initiated.
